Liam began to feel insurmountable rage, but couldn't ignore the all-consuming guilt that engulfed his conscience for turning a blind eye; especially knowing she could have been hurt before she left, or, that could have been why she left. More than that, he hadn't believed in Riley the way his friends did. He needed to be convinced to believe in her.

I'm curious to know who's suspicions is he worried about raising? Is it like canon where he assumes it's some powerful enemy? Unlike canon, this time there was a crime committed and evidence of it. The state of that dress would have me digging up the grounds looking for her body 😯

Series Summary - Prince Liam fell for Riley Brooks hard and fast. A marriage filled with love and devotion was within his reach. But everything changed when she vanished into thin air just before the end of the social season. As everyone around him begins to voice their concerns regarding her scandalous departure, a confession from an unlikely source turns Liam's world upside down and makes him begin to question everything around him.

A/N1 - This AU starts right before the beginning of the engagement tour. There is a two-month lapse between the coronation and where we pick up, but we will stray from canon. Please excuse any errors found.

I mean good, he should feel guilty! He was the one who allegedly loved her, but the only one that didn't believe in her and wasn't worried about her. Glad he finally pulled his head out of his ass, but still.....

Yes, he assumes it's a powerful enemy just like canon. And he feels like he still has to move forward for the greater good of Cordonia, because its been drilled into his head, BUT he's going to get his shit together soon and at least make some moves in the right direction. Honestly, they're all kind of shocked at this current moment. They hoped to find something but found way more than they anticipated. Liam especially, because he definitely feels that guilt hardcore. He knows what he ignored and what he turned his back on, even more so after seeing how Riley felt in her own words. Even Olivia is stumped for now. Once the shock fades I'm sure someone will go back for it. 😉

Fydelia, the night the Engagement Tour kicked off….

Riley Brooks entered the estate at Fydelia on the arm of Drake Walker, the man who had just spent the last three weeks with her at Ramsford. He had wiped her tears, soothed her anger, and warmed her bed.

Much to Maxwell’s chagrin. It was bad enough she had dumped him for Liam. Once that went south, he’d had to watch her fall into Drake’s arms.

He parted ways the moment they were announced, slinking off to the bar to busy himself with tonight’s objective: Getting shit-faced drunk.

It was an early February morning when Ms Samuel scurried through the palace doors to the quarter assigned for the orphaned Nevrakis’. It had been 10 months since her new role as a caretaker for the teenage girl, Olivia Nevrakis, who was very sharp, intelligent and a no-nonsense child. Ms Samuel felt like dealing with a mini adult in form of Olivia and she enjoyed the challenge of her job thoroughly.

She laid down the dresses she had prepared for Olivia for the special day. She hoped that the growing Duchess would choose the scarlet red one.

Olivia walked out of the bathroom and gave a glance to the spread-out fabrics on her bed. She went to her wardrobe and instead pulled out another one.

“Get this black one ready, please.” Olivia directed.

“But red is your favourite colour.” Ms Samuel tried to reason.

“So?”

“And it’s Valentine’s day?”

“All the more reason to wear black. I don’t like to share the colour I wear. And the whole world will be in god dammit red today.”
